Goals to grow on

After officially being incorporated for just over a year, I am finally sending in the final paperwork to the IRS to become a 501(c)3. This will give the organization tax-exempt status and its donors a tax write off. I have been able to do this since July, but putting the funding together has been a hold up. PLUS, we welcomed our third child in September so I have been spending the last 12 weeks getting my bearings on having three children under the age of 5. My oldest just celebrated his 4th birthday. Some days it is hard to believe it has only been 4 years, it feels like a life time ago that I was single or even married without children. Other days I feel the moments are flying by and 4 years happened in a blink.

I have a few goals that I hope to reach in the next 4 years in regards to From the Heart, Inc.

  • I hope to have helped at least 10 families total (1 down 9 to go!)
  • I hope to be a paid part-time employee not just a volunteer
  • I hope to have consistent donors
In 4 years the organization will be turning 5. I hope there is a lot to celebrate by then. I know that this organization exists for a reason. I feel like it plays a part in my greater purpose in life.

I am still looking for individuals to glean off of. If you are interested in volunteering for our organization please contact me. Ashley Ferris aferris06@gmail.com with a subject line of VOLUNTEER. I specifically need those with knowledge in the fundraising area.
